SAISA SP4

South Florida

Eleven teams competed at the SAISA SP-4 event hosted by USF St. Petersburg.

The first A set was sailed in a dying easterly, followed by a 2 hour break
onshore. By 2pm, a nice WSW seabreeze filled in, and 10 more races were
completed.

All courses were modified W-L with a gate, averaging 13 mins long.

Congrats to Florida for their victory, and to all other teams for their
participation.

SP3 Results

South Points 3
University of Florida
3/14/09

SP3 was hosted by the University of Florida and sailed at Lake Wauburg. The course was a double windward leeward with winds forecasted at 19mph, gusting to 29mph. Six teams competed and a full rotation was completed.

SP2 Results

                                Rollins College
                                     3/6/10

South Points #2 was won by the University of Miami hosted by Rollins College. First race started early at 9:50 am with a North wind of 8 kts, course was an windward/leeward. 8 races were completed in each Division and special thanks to the Rollins Tars team for all their efforts.

Old South Results

Old South was hosted by the University of Florida and sailed over the course of two days at Lake Wauburg in Gainesville, FL . Saturday was cold, rainy, and had light as well as shifty winds. Sunday winds picked up with breeze 5-10 knots. A full rotation was completed and no protests were heard. Thanks to everyone for a great regatta.

Saturday: We sailed 8 races in A and B division with 19 boats on the starting line. We sailed windward-leewards twice around with an offset and a gate. The wind started out ENE-ESE at 5-7mph and later shifted to NW. There was one protest filed, but not heard.
