Prospective Students The University of Florida Sailing team is comprised of a diverse group of students who all share a love for the sport of sailing. We pride ourselves in being a student-run club that is able to compete with top-ranked teams throughout the country. Our team ranges from people who are just learning to sail to sailors who began in Optis and have competed in national regattas throughout their high school years. No matter what your skill level is, we have a place for you. With our schedule of about 23 regattas a semester, we can ensure that you will be able to compete in events as far west as New Orleans and as far north as New York. We have also sent coed and womens teams to Georgia, South Carolina, Massachusetts and many other states along the east coast. We practice three times a week at Lake Wauburg, about 15 minutes south of campus. We are currently expanding our fleet of 10 420s and three FJs. Our club welcomes anyone interested in sailing and we look forward to adding new talent to the team.
