2010 Nelson Roltsch Regatta

Tulane University, New Orleans

February 13-14

Regatta Highlights

This weekend's regatta was dominated by very light winds out of the north. Saturday was cold with very fluky wind from the northwest. The breeze peeked at 6 knots around 1pm before dying back down to 2-4 knots. 6 races were sailed in each division. Sunday was warmer but again featured wind between 2-6 knots. The wind direction constantly shifted between the northwest and northeast, keeping the markset very busy and making it difficult to get off races. 3 races were sailed in each division before the cutoff time. Emory and UNT both were not able to make it to the regatta due to the snow, and UVA was a no show.
